      Gator-Gate-Pre

Gator-Gate-Pre adds a dedicated Preformatted Code Block function to the Gator-Gate Editor for bbPress. The feature provides a simple and robust way for forum users to insert and work with preformatted text directly inside the Visual Editor.

Gator-Gate-Pre also forms part of the broader Gator-Gate modular architecture. The editor provides the user-facing creation and editing function, while Gator-Gate Firewall — Port 8: Preformatted Text can independently control whether preformatted content is permitted when a post is submitted. This separation keeps the editor and firewall responsibilities clear while allowing individual forum administrators to control the feature on a per-forum basis.

The objective is simple: provide Gator-Gate Editor with bbPress a clean, controlled, and lightweight way to handle preformatted content while preserving the underlying philosophy of Gator-Gate — modular features, minimal overhead, and practical functionality without unnecessary complexity.

      License

Gator-Gate-Pre is an Alpha release and licensed under GPL v2 or later.

AI-generated and AI-assisted code is provided AS IS without warranty. Users are responsible for testing and validating the code before deploying it into any environment.
