In my layman's ability if I was going to describe Covid-19 it would be a deadly pandemic that does not kill children. I am sure there is some sci-fi storyline like that somewhere out there but anyway. The US has a House Subcommittee on the Federal response to Covid-19(video below). Several professional doctors are talking about alleged mishandling and misinformation. If you don't like the vaccine you will probably feel some justification in a number of statements. For trying to maintain my center of balance as it were. I am not sure how much Australia relied on US data for their response.  I am going to link to what I believe is current and/or official information.

Interpreting data may require clinical, technical, and professional knowledge. Please seek professional advice for any COVID-19-related matters.

Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)

We are Australia's government authority responsible for evaluating, assessing and monitoring products that are defined as therapeutic goods.

COVID-19 vaccine safety reports

The TGA closely monitors reports of possible side effects to the COVID-19 vaccines. Our regular safety report gives an update on the number of side effects reported.

Report a problem or side effect (In Australia, please check your own country)

Reporting adverse events (side effects to medicines and problems with medical devices) helps make medicines and medical devices safer for everyone.

Get boostered! No room for COVID complacency as winter wave threatens

The AMA is encouraging people to check their eligibility and get a COVID-19 booster to protect themselves for the onset of winter and future waves of COVID-19. Vaccines reduce transmission, reduce the severity of illness and there is emerging evidence that vaccination reducs the chance you will develop long covid.

I wounder were he got his figures from - The Australian Senate Estimates. I am posting Senator Gernard Rennick youtube channel description of the video in full.

------------------------------

Senator Gernard Rennick youtube channel description.

Skerritt gives weasel evidence … again! For Skerritt to downplay C-19 vaccine deaths by comparing them to paracetamol/Panadol deaths is misleading. If he is untruthful about such a matter, what else is he lying about? From Jan 2021 to February 9 this year there are 50 reported deaths for paracetamol (with one listed death from the Panadol brand solely); 24 deaths were overdoses including 10 intentional. The 26 remaining do not list paracetamol as the only drug taken.

There have been 977 reported C-19 vaccine deaths in the same period, (source: TGA Database of Adverse Event Notifications). According to Skerritt paracetamol had ten times more deaths than Covid vaccines. If this is the case there should be 9770 deaths due to paracetamol. This is clearly way off the mark. Skerritt has a responsibility as a witness before senate committees that clearly direct witnesses including public servants “to give evidence that is not false or misleading.” Not once when I ever questioned him did he do that.

NOTE: The TGA continuously change these figures in the Database of Adverse Events Notifications (DAEN). They do this regularly to keep the number of reported deaths lower than it otherwise would be.

No, Paracetamol doesn't cause more deaths than the CV jab - Senate Estimates 16.02.23 - Senator Gerard Rennick

With what seems to be growing amount of evidence. The various covid responces might be a subject for Workplace Health and Safety investigation.  That battle from my layman's prospective is looking easier to win. What might be a bit harder to win is the argument of centralized response v's a de-centralized response in the face of a pandemic.  A centralized response for covid in many ways has cause children of the world over to be subjected to boosters shots.  If you get it wrong, it is wrong on such a large scale. A de-centralized response puts more individuals in a clinical assessment between a patient and doctor. Is that a clinical assessment with a doctor's breath of knowledge while looking at you medical history?

While more might go wrong it is just as possible that more will go right. A person also has the option to choose for themselves. All my opinion but what The Australian Medical Professionals' Society (AMPS) is about gets my vote. For lack of a better way to say it, a cascading Government narrative that stifles and suppresses any group of specialists with de-registrations. If they were to speak against a position in there practice of medical science. They can not agree to, seems fraught with an increase of risk to all concerned.

I believe the News.com.au is referencing American information there might be some crossover with Australia and covid.

28 Feb 2023 - 10 myths told by Covid experts — now debunked - News.com.au

To be clear, public health officials were not wrong for making recommendations based on what was known at the time. That’s understandable. You go with the data you have.
No, they were wrong because they refused to change their directives in the face of new evidence. When a study did not support their policies, they dismissed them and censored opposing opinions.

A flurry of well-designed studies said the opposite. We now know that myocarditis is six to 28-times more common after the Covid vaccine than after the infection among 16- to 24-year-old males. Tens of thousands of children likely got myocarditis, mostly subclinical, from a Covid vaccine they did not need because they were entirely healthy or because they already had Covid.

Misinformation #1: Natural immunity offers little protection compared to vaccinated immunity

Misinformation #5: Young people benefit from a vaccine booster

Ultimately, White House pressure to recommend boosters for all was so intense, that the FDA’s two top vaccine experts left the agency in protest, writing scathing articles on how the data did not support boosters for young people.

The Australian Medical Professionals' Society (AMPS)

 What we believe

The Australian Medical Professionals' Society is a group of doctors who want to provide an alternate voice to the AMA. They wanted to join 10's of thousands of other workers who had decided to form independent associations under the Red Union banner.

AMPS supports:

  • The primacy of the doctor/patient relationship, with Government bureaucrats being removed from the surgery room.
  • Making it easier for doctors to speak out publicly. Doctors are currently gagged by AHPRA.
  • The removal of AHPRA from monitoring doctors on social media and voicing their medical opinions.
  • Resisting Government Coercion.
  • The ability to speak out about refugee health without fear of de-registration.
  • Resisting Government mandates.
  • Resisting Government agencies running roughshod over doctors in what they can prescribe and recommend.

AMPS remains fully committed to defending your right to treat patients as you see fit and respects the enormous amount of medical training undergone to achieve this right. AHPRA and Government must be drastically limited in this space.
