If you're a zombie then I think part of the first question you need to ask yourself is where do conspiracy theorists come from. Are we born this way or do we suddenly wake up and say to hell with being a zombie? Are we slowly mutating? The two ways I tend to think/explain how the population of conspiracy theorists is affected are.

1. Faith in governments is for the young. There is only some much bullshit a government can feed somebody before any other bullshit becomes more acceptable than the bull shit provided by the government. Especially if some of the bull shit the government/population has been complaining about turns out to be true.

Take this truckload of bull shit by Macron followed by the story of a woman arrested for insulting him(Macron) on Facebook.

3 Sep 2020 - People online call out Macron for ‘selective freedom of speech’ - TRT World

5 April 2023 - French woman ON TRIAL for insulting Emmanuel Macron!?! - Brad Polumbo

29 Mar 2023 - French woman faces trial, €12,000 fine for 'insulting' Macron on Facebook - France24

2. Trauma or abuse by the system causes the zombie to no longer want to be part of the system and thus begins the quest to find a system they can be a part of. There could be a variety of expressions to escape the trauma. Even thou a conspiracy might have brainwashing elements. It is not as bad as that bullshit brainwashing government.  Examples are numerous - Statements like the government wants the best for you and is here to help you. The government is doing this to keep you safe. Trust the government they keep their promises. There will be no new taxes. Can cause a type of flight or fight response when such statements turn out to be quicksand with little value. The good news for the government is that in true bull shit fashion, it will never be their fault as to why you feel you are worst off in a crisis situation.

28 Jul 2022 - Labor doubles down on broken promise

“The Prime Minister has waxed lyrical about a new era in politics yet has misled Australians at every opportunity on power prices,” Mr O’Brien said.

15 Mar 2023 - Labor’s energy relief promise is ‘another broken promise’

“It is yet another broken promise because relief to households will not be flowing from the government in April this year,” he said during a media conference on Wednesday.

I struggle to understand why the zombies think they have believable moral high ground by repeating and trusting in political talking points. When politicians have continuously shown they have a compulsion for a slippery version of the truth. Yet it's the conspiracy theorist who seems to be considered in society more insane than the zombie.

So zombie are you expecting a different result under the definition of insanity the next time the government tells you something you should believe in?

7 April 2023 - ‘Plenty of blame to go around’: Biden admin blames Trump govt for Afghanistan withdrawal - Sky News Australia

P.S. 'Plenty of blame to go around’ - The intelligence got it wrong? Never heard of that before except for the 51 former intelligence officers who got it wrong with Hunter's laptop. Intelligence failures with 911, WMD's in Iraq and now Afganistan.

As strange as it seems I find Macron is a bit of a barometer gauge for the political circles of Europe. He can be like the first slimy snail/slug to jump from a sinking ship. While telling everybody to man the decks, there is nothing to worry about. A case in point might be this news story while Donald Trump just finished clinching the GOP presidential nomination.

14 Mar 2024 - Trump unlikely to win – Macron

The former US president won’t get a chance to deliver on his promise to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, the French leader believes

French President Emmanuel Macron has expressed doubt that his former American counterpart will be able to secure another term at the White House, when asked who could potentially mediate peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.
