Come to the dark side the Empire Strikes Back. There are some comments from a former Australian Ambassador in the video where he suggests Putin is playing mind games with Trump being susceptible to flattery. As someone in China might like to say If you are strong, pretend to be weak. If you are weak, pretend to be strong. Putin praises Trump and makes mention of him being a smart and experienced man.

For the all bluster about how good Trump and Kim Jong Un relationship is. North Korea is sending troops to fight alongside Russia against a US-led proxy war. As the article mentions North Korea seems to see Russia as a long-term investment.

7 Nov 2024 - Why Is North Korea Sending Troops to Fight for Russia?

The involvement of North Korean troops fighting on Russia’s side in the war in Ukraine is unprecedented. Never before has North Korea launched a foreign military intervention, and such a momentous decision cannot fail to have serious consequences.

Instead, Kim Jong Un seems to see lending troops to Russia as a long-term investment. Ever since the Soviet Union stopped providing economic assistance in 1990, Pyongyang has sought to turn back the clock to the “good old days” of the Cold War, when it could count on a significant inflow of Soviet resources. Until now, North Korea has been unable to achieve this goal—but with troops now apparently deployed in Ukraine, it looks closer than ever.

If America needs more US dollars do they just need to add a zero to the balance sheet of the Fed? Trump threatens BRICS with 100% tariffs if BRICS tries to move away from the US dollar. You could call it an acknowledgment that the US might be worried about systems that move away from the effectiveness of the dollar and sanctions from the West for US foreign policy. Of course, the threats from a US decision are exactly the reason why other countries might not feel safe with staying with the dollar and payment systems.
