Times I have watched American news like CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, and NBC you might say there can be bias. It often reminds me of gutter trash tabloid styles. Where clickbait and sensationalized stories appear to be the goal. Like in the RT story below with Pro-Democrat Rachel Maddow 'Authoritarian' and 'Trump could end democracy.' Along with Kate Middleton is having somebody else's baby. Neither is an encyclopedia called an encyclopedia if there is not a level of accuracy. It's a book of fiction.
Freedom of the press is one thing(editors choose the stories to run and not run) whereas freedom of speech is something else. Hence being labeled Fake News at times has been completely appropriate. Suppose consistent sensationalism and bias are the foundation of the reporting. Why should they carry a news license or the title of news but they are free to voice their opinion in another forum? In the same way, a made-in-American sticker should not be on a product that is made in China. There are times when accuracy matters for the title being worn, like Doctors, lawyers, and of course, the press which should not end up in the style of fake news.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow has warned that President-elect Donald Trump will try to stifle free press in the US upon returning to the White House. There is a petition to require Tabloid journalism to carry a disclaimer.
Require a disclaimer on tabloid journalism
Tabloid newspapers such as The Sun, Daily Star, The Mirror, Daily Express and the Daily Mail, etc are directly and negatively influencing public opinion on various issues.
Tabloids largely distort evidence or show a sensationalist and extremist view on scientific studies, politics and societal problems, to name just a few.
A warning needs to be added to the front page of such tabloid newspapers stating "Notice: This is a TABLOID NEWSPAPER and contains SENSATIONALIST and EXTREMIST views. It should be treated as a work of FICTION."

Sensationalism Wiki (In journalism and mass media)
In journalism and mass media, sensationalism is a type of editorial tactic. Events and topics in news stories are selected and worded to excite the greatest number of readers and viewers. This style of news reporting encourages biased or emotionally loaded impressions of events rather than neutrality, and may cause a manipulation to the truth of a story.
Sensationalism may rely on reports about generally insignificant matters and portray them as a major influence on society, or biased presentations of newsworthy topics, in a trivial, or tabloid manner, contrary to general assumptions of professional journalistic standards.[2][3]
Some tactics include being deliberately obtuse,[4] appealing to emotions,[5][better source needed] being controversial, intentionally omitting facts and information,[6][better source needed] being loud and self-centered, and acting to obtain attention.[5][better source needed] Trivial information and events are sometimes misrepresented and exaggerated as important or significant, and often include stories about the actions of individuals and small groups of people,[1][better source needed] the content of which is often insignificant and irrelevant to the macro-level day-to-day events occurring globally.

The same study found that some popular primetime news shows on CNN, such as Anderson Cooper 360 or CNN Tonight, are more left-leaning than popular MSNBC shows such as The Rachel Maddow Show or The 11th Hour with Brian
