Apparently, misinformation these days is kin to the Devil on social media platforms. At the same time, the politicians shit themselves to be the way, the truth, and the light for the inept, undiscerning, and unintelligent population. Double standards of laws seem to be what politicians do best even though the government has been guilty of misinformation time and time again. They will not be the ones to be charged. Misinformation is only misinformation when the government says it is misinformation. Proven facts can be deemed misinformation by the government. Science is now the hammer of government opinion. So while the governments shit in their own nest to the point of nobody trusting the governments. Their solution is to double down on misinformation censorship laws. All up to the opinion of the person in government on what's best for you and that is always the government's narrative. No matter how many errors of misinformation that narrative might have.
Australia is a signatory to U.N resolutions.
There are some limitations to freedom of expression which is generally around public safety, public order, the protection of public health or morals, or the protection of the rights and freedoms of others. Article 22(2) makes similar provision in relation to freedom of association.
Letting those who are guilty of such violations in government is a vile corruption that spreads, grows, and weaves its way into society. It represents in itself a risk to public safety, public order, the protection of public health or morals, or the protection of the rights and freedoms of others. The silence of opinions on who has the skills and qualifications on a subject is what the Australian Government has done and plans to continue. At the same time, the police commissioner calls out social media companies and hides in the shadow of such actions by the government. Perhaps an obvious conclusion to many, like the government. The apparent police commissioner's double standards represent a threat to morals, public safety, and public order.
