The phrase “Trump will be a trumpet” stems from a widely circulated 2007 prophecy by the late South African televangelist Kim Clement, who predicted God would raise up Donald Trump to become a “trumpet” for the nation. This phrase has since evolved into a popular cultural and political metaphor among his supporters.
Because Clement’s prophecy and the resulting interpretations have received significant traction, both supporters and critics often use the phrase to characterize his loud, attention-grabbing, and announcement-heavy approach to politics.
Resulting interpretations are possibly the greatest two words that can be said about any prophecy, prophet, pastor, or teacher’s message. Because at the end of the day, the judgement of how something gets applied to your life is up to you. (so goes my opinionated interpretations of scripture)

The Role of Interpretation
- The “Living” Text: Many view scripture and spiritual messages as dynamic. Their meaning can shift based on a person’s life stage, culture, and immediate circumstances.
- Guarding Against Manipulation: Approaching teachings with the mindset that you control the application serves as a psychological shield against spiritual abuse or extreme dogmatism.
- Diverse Outcomes: Two people can hear the exact same sermon or prophecy and walk away with completely opposite, yet equally sincere, applications for their lives.
The Sides Against The Middle
Over the years, I can say as many of you might be able to say as well. We have all met people from different groups. Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, LGBTQ, Atheist, Hindu, Paganism / Wicca, Theosophy, etc. I can’t say I have had any drama with any of them if there is a mutual treat people as you expect to be treated type of attitude.
Many people across various backgrounds and political spectrums—including those with conservative views—simply desire the autonomy to live their lives, raise their families, and practice their beliefs without outside interference. This “live and let live” approach often provides common ground, even between people who seem completely different on paper.
Experiencing peaceful, everyday interactions with people from all walks of life shows that mutual respect is highly achievable in daily practice. You can call that a version of Karma or the Golden Rule.
The Golden Rule is the principle of treating others as one would want to be treated by them. It is sometimes called an ethics of reciprocity, meaning that one should reciprocate to others how one would like them to treat the person (not necessarily how they actually treat them). Various expressions of this rule can be found in the tenets of most religions and creeds through the ages.

The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance. This paradox was articulated by philosopher Karl Popper in The Open Society and Its Enemies (1945),[1] where he argued that a truly tolerant society must retain the right to deny tolerance to those who promote intolerance. Popper posited that if intolerant ideologies are allowed unchecked expression, they could exploit open society values to erode or destroy tolerance itself through authoritarian or oppressive practices.

How do you define the middle ground? If somebody tells you a man wearing a dress is a woman and if you don’t believe them, are you a hateful bigot? If somebody tells you an orange is an apple and if you don’t believe them, are you a hateful bigot? If I say you’re clothed in sin and if you don’t believe me, are you a hateful bigot? We have made these laws to keep you safe, and if you don’t believe us, are you a traitor, a terrorist, and a hateful bigot? If a pastor tells you the Bible is clear, this is what God requires, and if you don’t believe them, are you of the devil and a hateful bigot?
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
The Ten Commandments would be next on the list of what the Lord requires, plus a few more scriptures.
The Reflecting Pool
This is all just an opinion, and that’s the point. In the quest for the meaning of life or the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything. How you interpret the things around you becomes a cornerstone of who you are. Symbolism or the interpretations of individual perceived patterns gives rise to the divine. The ocean is no longer just an ocean; there is a God that controls the storms and the waves. How we find meaning or how meaning finds us might be one interpretation of the answer being 42, or Isaiah 49, even perhaps 6×9 equals Isaiah 54.
The Reflecting Pool – A National Monument
Sometimes you need to be careful with things like the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which has been recently renovated. Because in the Bible, reflection can mean to examine yourself. While many online have declared that God is healing America under President Trump, another possible interpretation is that the Reflecting Pool serves as a public symbol of self-examination or even judgment. Either way, declaring a sign is from heaven is kinda asking for trouble, or not declaring a sign from heaven is asking for even more trouble.
